Royal train duty was the reasoning behind this re-paint of Brush Type 2
Class back in 1969
The loco was used to take HM Queen to Tattenham Corner for the Derby Horse Race at Epsom
race course. This model is equally as accurate for the present day, since the preserved
loco, 31101 was returned to this livery 30 years later to the day at its base on the
Battlefield Railway in Leicestershire.
