LGB In The Garden

LGB is a very popular scale for running in the garden.

Combine two hobbies, Gardening and Railways. What better way to spend many a happy hour pottering about the garden while the trains run past, or relaxing on a warm summer evening and running a train or two.

With LGB you don't have to start of with prepared track bed, just lay the track across the grass and through flower beds. Dwarf conifers now look like scale trees.

If the idea of trains in the garden grabs you then you can plan a permanent track bed later and perhaps add a bridge or even tunnel. add shingle for track ballast, you can add points, even buildings to the same scale, and every railway needs miniature figures. Before you know it you'll have your own miniature village!.

Just imagine keeping the grass on the scale bowls green just perfect, not to mention the hedge around the station masters house that needs trimming!.

No need to close the line during the Winter, you can still run LGB trains during the winter even in the snow.
